If you look at foreign aid the US is ranked far from the best givers (those are mostly from Northern Europe) simply because of the strings attached: "We give you X if you buy Y from our War Industry" is not really foreign aid but

It would be fixed overnight if the US didn't import. That is at least as much a part of the problem - the bad neighbour.

You can say whatever you want of course, but 3rd world define countries that are neither aligned with the West or the East, in the Cold War. China is part of 3rd world countries. It is called Developing nations today and Mexico is not part

Are those 300 million out of a job? If not you are moving the problem around, not solving it.

50 million is the same amount that the US has displaced in its reply to 9/11. Seems perfectly fine to me that it should take them in with open arms and open purses.

In the TikTok posted in the thread I doubt that the risk of a crash in that situation is less than without the Cruise stopped in the middle of the road. So more dangerous, not less. How safe it is in another situation is irrelevant to any p

That's pure nonsense. Oligarch says something about wealth and maybe how you gained it. That is it. You might as well have said "rich person behaviour". Also, have cruel must one be to take joy in others pain because of what

I'm not even from the US but I've heard of hundreds of times this has happened there. Only in a very few cases do they not win and who knows how many we don't even hear about.

But none of this would stick without judge, jury and lawyers colluding, surely? Seems to me the problem isn't the police but is systemic.

How is Google's intent worse for an iPhone user? They can avoid Chrome, but not Apple's implementation. Anyways, both should be looked into.

I'm not sure if I agree that Google's future intent is the bigger threat versus Apple already using it. >So as long as they do not produce 50% of PCs or 50% of phones Apple's market share in the US smartphone market is at

GeForce Experience has telemetry, but I can't tell you if the driver packages from Nvidia has any. There's a Disable-Nvidia-Telemetry tool, but I can't say I know anything about it (I use AMD). https://github.com&#

If you want to isolate the internet connection with fiber you can use an ethernet to fiber box. Something as simple and cheap as this would do: https://www.tp-link.com/us/business-networking/accessory/mc2...

Unless they circumvent the system set DNS and use a hard coded one, which many that collect telemetry seem to do. On Android I see lots of traffic to Google's DNS even though I do not use their DNS servers (and it is in fact blocked).

How is it worse when Google wants to implement something that Apple already did? I mean it's bad but being number two to implement it seems like the regulators should look at Apple first, not Google.
