Simply to get an idea of how Heroku plans to sunset projects/platforms. Making the jump from free to paid not only means a commitment from you but also from the payer. Granted most apps are easily migrated but I'm curious how many apps we

TCP Fast Open (client side) is quite interesting. Is anyone aware of testable server examples/implementations yet?

For those looking at Dancer as a framework, be aware that there is a Dancer 2 "rewrite" project. The purpose of the new project is to "fix" the use of globals and also to have a consistent core API. http://advent.perldancer.org/2011/8

I am of the same practice as fusiongyro. I also expand on that and have a very simple configuration for Vim. Once you go beyond a handful of machines, you never know what to expect on the system. "Lowest common denominator" wins out for

Are there any browsers that currently implement BrowserID? I just fired up Firefox 15 and still get the pop-up for login.persona. Or links to near future impementations? Thanks for you and otzen for shedding light on all of this.

Thanks for posting the process flow. So ( https://login.persona.org/sign_in ) will always be shown? If so, then how is this truly decentralized with my privacy concerns mentioned above?

Do you have examples of sites that don't use Persona as the BrowserID implementation? I'd like to see how sites are handling the user prompt when there are going to be alternative providers to Mozilla's Persona service.

Nice Lotus 56 in the background. This is a turbine-powered vehicle. Interestingly enough, the seller has some jet engines/turbines for sale as well.

Perhaps even applaud "slow" in the sense of longterm as a movement. It applies to not only "startups." Joel Spolsky wrote a great article about this in 2009 that also had an active discussion here. http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=9206
