People trust Stripe. I think the issue here is Javascript and origin-policy and relinquishing control. When Stripe releases their version of STRIPEPAYMENTIFRAME.COM as an iframe solution then this can go away. I believe Colin mentioned a

Got it. Thank you. But isn't this a separate issue and more to card issuance by Visa/Mastercard/Diner's etc? Won't Stripe likely have the same restrictions to cover themselves...or in time after they've been burned enough as well?

Sorry if I misunderstand. Aren't you(paymentiframe) processing the form which is touching the data and then passing the data onto Stripe via their API?

Sorry if I'm not clear. I mean you can make a purchase using Paypal and a credit card without having an account. This is separate than having a Paypal account, funding it and then purchasing via transfer("purchase") to another Paypal acco

Ben, Are you going to be addressing this in your book, Third Party Javascript? Would love to hear your recommendations for how to handle payment processing such as this.

Colin, With the iframe implementation, is the burden of PCI compliance back on you(or someone who implements a similar function on their own hardware)? I totally understand the need for safety with regard to external javascript but I though

I've always been curious about comments similar to yours with regard to avoiding a service that uses Paypal. Is that because of not wanting to use Paypal at all? Or is that because you think using Paypal means not being able to pay with c

I haven't looked at Racket in a long time. Is it possible to make standalone executables? That's one of the reasons I've used Chicken Scheme ( http://www.call-cc.org/ ) for many cross-platform projects with easy deployability.

What do these "product development and product management teams" do? Is this for the Boot to Gecko project? I'm quite frankly surprised at the number mentioned. I'm also disappointed that they made the decision to put Thunderbird basicall

Airbnb does not offer personal liability though as part of their Host Guarantee. Since the Vayable experience is under the premise that you're vis-a-vis the guide the entire time that might be a difficult problem to solve?

This might just make Kansas City the tech center scene for colocation startups. Run this out of your bedroom. Amazon watch out! Note to self: Cross KC off my list of colo locations if an offer appears with outrageously low pricing.

Maybe something along the lines of 'patron/patronage' would be a better term? A play on the word for domain names such as patronous.com (full of patrons) or patronian.com .
