Flakes are as stable as they can get imo. They are already widely adopted, so I don't see how they can ever completely walk the feature back. The unstable marker is only there because there are some edge cases to work around afaik. And

Like I said, it is a bit intimidating at the start. But you soon realize it’s quite intuitive. Finding logs for a specific service is a one-liner: journalctl -u rclone-photos-sync.service Add -r (reverse) to return newest logs first.

The article already explains the difference between cron and systemd timers, so I won't rehash that. Yes, systemd is more verbose, but that comes with advantages over cron. And if cron suits your usecases, it's a fine tool as well

+1 for NixOS. I used to find systemd a bit intimidating, but working with NixOS has made it all fit together somehow. As an example, this is a systemd timer I have that periodically runs rclone to sync photos to Backblaze: systemd.ser

Good to know! I guess I had the wrong impression of the scene. I have always had huge respect for both manga and anime translation groups.

Come on, the anime has insane art and animation. They are kicking the ball out of the park, especially with S2.

Isn’t scanlation kind of dead already? Afaik, every major manga get released in English weekly/monthly, and almost everything else is officially translated.

It’s an OK show for children, but a really good show for parents. If you want children shows that are actually educational and fun, I usually recommend PBS Kids.

Allegedly. The government - through the Biden and Trump admins - has been testing out the limits of student repression with pro-Palestine protestors. Think of it as a pilot program for seeing what they can get away with. As we have seen els

My recollection is that Boeing essentially had insane tariffs applied on US imports of Bombardier commercial aircraft after Delta made a large order & was preparing for delivery. Shortly thereafter, Airbus came in and acquired a control

Your Docker Compose file remains the source of truth, so there is no “lock-in”. That’s the beauty of config generation :)

Enable the Podman socket and have it alias the Docker socket. Shameless plug: Alternatively, if you are on NixOS, you can just use compose2nix. https://github.com/aksiksi/compose2nix

It ultimately depends on your threat model. But assuming a state actor has access to NetFlow data, an attack could work like this: * State actor determines that an IP belonging to a VPN company had a session on example.com around t1-t2 * Yo

I have been reading the subreddit for years. I don’t bookmark threads or comments for later review. And I made it clear upfront that this is my personal impression.
