How would the engines be running differently? It’s quite literally the same Windows build of the game running on Wine/Proton. The simpler explanation is that Windows is poorly optimized, and runs a ton of inefficient crap in the backgr

Yep, they were huge too - virtually anyone who watched free anime back then would have known about them. My theory is that once they saw how much traffic they were getting, they realized how big of a market (subbed/dubbed) anime was.

Let me summarize why Apple’s iOS is not even in the same planet as Valve’s Steam: Apple sells a device (iPhone) whose OS it controls (iOS) that is so ubiquitous to the point where most businesses cannot afford to not have a presence on this

I really despise the analogy with Steam. And this is not the first time I hear it. People somehow fail to understand that the core problem with the App Store is that it is operated by the platform owner. To bring the analogy in line with th

Was the problem with my comment the use of profanity? I did not insult the commenter, nor did I make any ad hominem attacks. I don’t see any rules against profanity in general, or the use of profanity to respond to an argument. I also took

Have you not been following the German government’s position and statements on the Gaza conflict?

Well, that’s my point. This is the only major ongoing conflict where the US and major Western powers are virtually unconditionally backing the “bad guys”. So it makes sense that there would be more attention and pushback on this one versus

No, there is nothing “complex” about Gaza - neither before nor after Oct 7. The late Michael Brooks shared a small thought experiment that might help elucidate this: https://youtu.be/7ebPj_FqM5Q
