Yet for some reason, people still use Steam as a “gotcha” to justify why Apple’s terms are fair. But as you’ve hinted at, Steam is very different from the iOS App Store because it is competing organically with other app stores on Windows.

Context cancellation is not always desirable. I personally have been bitten multiple times by the default behavior of errgroup.

HBM is also used in NPUs (network processing units) to be able to buffer and process packets at line rate (e.g., 400 Gbps) in high end switches and routers.

It’s a HN meme at this point. For as long as I can remember, almost every single phone announcement on this site inevitably gets a bunch of comments about how it’s too big and how a smaller version would sell like hotcakes. You would think

1. If a US based charity finds a hospital and doctors that are willing to treat these children for free, why would you look for alternatives? 2. Some of these are likely complex cases in children that cannot easily be handled elsewhere. The

Yes. That is how these patients were being evacuated in the first place before traveling to the US for treatment.

No, it’s a side effect of US hypocrisy. We apply “standards” - or at least claim to - in some cases but not others. We apply or seek to apply international law in some cases but not others. There was never a true values-based foreign policy

Nix + Home Manager is a good combo if you don’t want to go the whole way. But yes, I would recommend starting with just Nix.

That would open a can of worms, because then the next thing would use a different symbol. AFAIK, Scala had a huge issue with random symbols polluting code readability.

You can also use RequiresMountsFor to mark a mount (directory) as a hard dependency for the unit.

Obviously, but I would imagine that most of the “magic” isn’t in the supplied components, but in the finished product. Otherwise reproduction would be easier.

Yes, it is, because then you aren’t stuck with a EOL distribution where you get even more security issues to deal with (vs. just EOL Python). Also, what kind of “security exploits” would an outdated Python result in if the Python interprete

Isn’t KiCAD limited to PCB design, or is my understanding out of date? Cadence tooling is for end-to-end electronics design - from transistor/standard cell up to PCB. So technically they’re both EDA tools, but one is in another league
