Yeah, I leapt right in, and had to revert to Firefox ESR when I realized that RequestPolicy Continued doesn't yet work. (BTW - thanks to @fghtr for letting me know about it this extension.)

I don't agree with that but they shouldn't be allowed to stop signing the old versions. People should be able to downgrade if they have a need or desire to do so.

I have to say that I haven't noticed any issues so far - Firefox, VMWare Fusion, VLC, and Homebrew all work fine. That said, I strongly disagree with forced version upgrades.

Twitter either needs to use verified status for its intended purpose, or get rid of it. I am not aware of anyone who thought that verified status was an endorsement from Twitter.

Most people, myself included, wouldn't survive if directly targeted by the government - so I exclude them from my threat model. But I do hope that being wary of commercial surveillance will at least reduce the footprint I leave behind.

Corporate surveillance is, in my life, a bigger deal than government surveillance. I think Zeynep Tufekci described the situation really well with the title of her recent Ted Talk: "We're building a dystopia just to make people cl

I don't understand why people put stuff out under the Berkley License and then complain about a lack of credit or a lack of reimbursement (in support or money) for the use of their code. Isn't that the actual point of the license?

Agreed. I don't have a problem with telemetry and updates being turned on as by default. What I have a problem with is Microsoft not even giving us the option to turn these features off.

I have to agree with your concerns. All they have to do is make a good web browser and they have the funds to do that. It concerns me that they are wasting time, energy, and money chasing rabbits.
