Amazon judges how quickly/whether to issue a return based on an algorithm weighted by your lifetime total value. If you shop a lot on Amazon, occasionally returning an item will be 0 hassle for you. If you don't shop on Amazon tha

Various leaks over the years have showed us how when programs doing icky stuff are revealed, they are "shut down" only to be recycled as new secret programs with "new" mandates doing exactly the same thing. After Snowden

In a weird and entirely ironic way, I think co-working spaces will become a big deal (again?) over the next decade or two. As People Of Means spread out over the country to lower-cost-of-living cities and towns, we'll start to see serv

I'd like to make an accessory recommendation: get one of those grip-strength things and use it all the time. This did two things for me: 1. Extra strength in hands and forearms makes you more resistant to injury of all kinds there 2. M

I would argue the opposite, that the limiting factor of progress actually IS capital at the moment - but not capital in a total-floating-around-sense, but rather how much capital the average person has access to. Literally everyone is talki

That's my point - I usually see talk of aliens dismissed with "if they're so advanced, why would they bother? Therefore it must be something else." We cast our own human drives and incentives on the aliens in that case.

One thing I don't hear mentioned very often in the "why would aliens bother coming here" debate, is a comparison of UFO behavior and our behavior with other species we study in remote locations. Consider the mountain gorillas

Serious question from a crypto noob - what's the point of defi systems if they're all built on stablecoins and depend on the value of a fiat currency at the end of the day? Especially for permanently-deflationary coins like BTC?
