As far as I can tell, with this async approach you lose what I consider to be one of the main benefits of the native async functions; If an error is thrown, it will show up in the "reject" path of your promise. This is very useful

However weird and seemingly useless this might appear to the normal programmer on here, I see this as a huge accomplishment and an incredibly important tool. Why? Accessibility. Let’s hope that I never get in a serious accident or get an di

People would likely not share any code if they could not trust that their work would be respected, and attributed. So yes, I believe it to be fundamental to open source.

Who decides what constitutes an "AI program" vs just a "program"? What heuristic do we look at? At the end of the day, they have an equivalent of a .exe which runs, and outputs code that has a license attached to it.

Just to be clear; I cannot prove that they have used my code, but for the sake of argument, lets assume so. They would have directly used my code when they trained the thing. I see it as an equivalent of creating a zip-file. My code is not

I’m not a lawyer, but here is why I believe a class action lawsuit is correct; “AI” is just fancy speak for “complex math program”. If I make a program that’s simply given an arbitrary input then, thought math operations, outputs Microsoft

I had a similar issue where my computer would sometimes wake from sleep when I entered the room, or even exit. Some times it even woke up when I wasn’t even home. This was quite annoying as you can imagine. It turned out that in my case the

I wonder if you could scrape some of these price matching sites, or even integrate with them. That way you could get a lot of product names and run a whitelist of products in stead of relying on people adding 100% correct and unique names.

Not to mention "credit rating" which is capitalism's answer to the communist "social rating". Don't get me wrong, I much prefer capitalism, but it has some really dark sides.

The key issue with P2P is that you have many more total connections in the system, so the service itself usually takes a hit. You get N^2 in stead of N streams. You can also easier optimize the video quality per peer with a centralized syst
