Pain in the ass for the employees and everybody really. You have to fill reports for weeks about some vague stuff. And then they come to inspect and it's more pain and more time not actually working. You can get help from third parties

The most cringe worthy moment for me was: "...and it can sit 5." CHEERS "YEAH!" WOOOOOOO I think a lot of people in the audience had just spent 1000$ on a reservation and they needed to rationalise.

What's so special about 2016 that a company can't design a car more targeted at a specific demographic anymore?

At first I though the curvature was exaggerated but then I looked at some pictures and it was actually even worse. This reminds me the first time I used one of those flat CRT, I was so used to the convex curve that the flat one looked conca

I had never heard of a page turner before in my life and know nothing of antiques in general. Yet, my first guess looking at the picture and before reading the article was that it must have been some kind of dull knife for opening uncut boo

I personally loved XKCD, I no longer read it, unless he does one of those epic comic. You are not as small a minority as you think you are. I talked to a lot of people who never cared about his comics because of the overly simplistic style.

Don't you think not having news from someone you love for prolonged time can actually hype the hysteria? I'd say I'm usually a rational person when those events happen. Yet, every hour that goes by without news from my cousin

Yeah, I don't see how it's possible for all fountains to get the exact same syrup and gas concentrations. Especially with ice and temperature also being factors.

Not just in Asia. I threw a couple of old (60s~70s) appliances with magnet power cables a few years ago. The cables were very north american.

The problem have never been the difficulty of patching the software. The problem is they are forcing Apple to sign a software against their will.

I doubled checked and it seems I got confused. It's rather Chrome telling me it is no longer supported on Vista.

That's weird because Google constantly threaten me that google.com will no longer work with my browser very soon and that if I want to continue using google.com I have to install Chrome. Edit: Got confused. It's Chrome no longer h

I'm greatly oversimplifying: Suppose you have a series of 10 pairs of number coming from the universe, lets call them particles. After crunching the numbers you discover they fit perfectly in a linear function y=mx+b. Yep, two constant

That's weird. I experience the exact opposite. When I was younger I could keep my eyes open underwater in all sort of condition. Today, they sting like crazy even in fresh water.

Last time it effectively landed correctly in pretty rough conditions. The only problem was a landing leg did not lock because of ice and the stage was lost.

Yeah, by the author's standard, any nice picture would be an ad for the photographer. Pretty picture of a New Zeeland countryside? Ad for NZ tourism office. Pretty picture of a data center chockfull of network equipment and mainframes?

Xamarin is not about Xamarin Studio. It's about the iOS and Android runtimes. Thanks to its ability to take full advantage of AOT compilation, the performance difference is staggering compared to Mono. Also it needs to JIT in less situ

An unfortunate consequence of that is you can't discard or alpha test pixels without major performance loss. This means if you want detailed stuff you have to render everything transparent and then it's CPU z-sorting time.
