Yes, only US ROM is supported currently, though it is setup so it can support any ROM build from the de-compilation project as long as you have the intermediate elf file for looking up the offsets.

For spare / repair parts aliexpress unfortunately is still the heaven. Sure you have to be really careful who you order from, but sadly the modern world hates selling spare parts and loves e-waste (especially for smartphones, it used t

There's lots of these scams where they sell some non-branded goods with lots of reviews (with videos) from paid SNS influencers. Sometimes they may sell something completely else but change the listing completely (becomes obvious from

Ah the configure scripts and large c++ codebases, the bane of fast compile times. Configure scripts "checking useless stuff" isn't parallelized so it takes ages, even on a modern beefy processor. Somebody should write ccache-

Expect the person who tried to do it as well (first telling me OnceCell and RWLock would work) in the end could not get it working either and gave up in half a hour. In the end I moved on, I still program in rust, but it's not a good l

If you read the topic, you would see that even OnceCell did not work (unless you wrapped thing into mutex, or implemented deep copy, which is again what I did not want).

True, but the above topic was not about rust. Though even in rust, if the code ever calls into C code the same pitfalls still apply. Also in rust because how everything has to take into account thread safety, programming simple or low-level

This, the moment you call into library or code you haven't written yourself, you can throw out all the guarantee your program will be thread safe, and I don't even want to go into details like program mixing forks and threads or u

They use wayland compositor (gamescope) under linux (even under X11), in their new SteamOS UI and it's already working a lot better. Plus they can do other awesome stuff with it like completely having control of where and how the game

The point was none of those rust crates worked, or required you to use mutex in the end which the solution would not actually need (not zero-cost abstraction). I would've fine using unsafe, but even with unsafe it felt like I was fight

I know, but the RWLock itself also did not work. Complaining about safety and the only solution seemed to wrap the value itself into mutex inside rwlock. If I still had to go back to this, I would just write the function in C and go from th

Neither worked, it always complained about Copy trait, and no I don't need a mutex for this. I eventually got it to work with few bits of unsafe, but then I gave up when one of the apis I was using captures mutable self, and after that

I too program in rust, however I don't like programming in rust. It feels like C++ on steroids. I consider all the meta-programming and traits mostly read only. There's too many concepts you have to understand and wrappers on top

I actually find it easier to leak with gc than without. Gc effectively hides the problem well, while non-gc is easy to debug with tools like valgrind.
