It's certainly an impressive achievement and makes it pretty clear why Apple is transitioning away from Intel. I'm a bit surprised that the fact that this is on the TSMC 5nm process seems to be glossed over in the comments. Apple

Wanted to add some more kind words about XState. It's a key component of a project I'm working on now with some pretty atypical requirements relative to most web projects. It's been a lifesaver in that regard, and I think we

It could be useful in a number of scenarios. For instance you may want to resolve state between a front-end and a back-end, so the ability to make transitions on both could be very useful.

I've worked from home for quite a long time and building a social network is a hard aspect of it. Doing it during a pandemic is hard, but I made it a point to go do something almost every day when I started working from home. It made a

Throwing in a second opinion here for those curious. I've worked with a number of CI systems and had trouble with many. Gitlab CI has been the opposite of other experiences I've had with well over 10k jobs completed across differe

I hope this doesn't get entirely buried at this point, but I think you bring up something interesting with driving marginal costs down. Ostensibly both Uber and Lyft are doing the same thing, but with the item that will bring the margi

The shift for this is likely going to take some time. The design cycle for business machines is glacially slow. Even the first generation Ryzen CPUs are amazing for multitasking and general computing workloads. Zen 2 is quite a bit further

Not trying to just jump in an correct you, but there has actually been progress recently made in this area and we're starting to get a scientific understanding of what the Romans learned to do presumably through trial and error. Here&#

It's the unfortunate downside to these. Two of the dies don't have direct access to memory, but it seems like AMD didn't want to do a refresh of the pinouts and force socket updates. I suspect this will be left for the Zen 2

From what I'm aware, there are variety of reasons. In China opium use was common for a long time. However, smoked opium is less potent then consuming it in other fashions and generally speaking it was less available and more expensive.

For what it's worth I doubt many of those commented have ever lived (or even visited) China. It's easy to create a false equivalency when you have no real experience of the situation. This is a different situation, and it's s

Oh man, I worked with Kevin a long time ago in my first web dev job. I remember this existing even at that point. Cool to see it here, haven't thought about these things in a long time.

Thank you so much for this! It's something that's been kicking around in the back of my head for ages, but it was never a big enough priority for me to tackle. I'll definitely be checking it out!

It's all about how temporary it is. A few days to a few weeks is definitely different then having something that sticks with you for at least a year. I'm sure the designs will change, as will the motivations for getting them. Beyo

I'm torn. On one hand, this invention will keep a lot of people from making the very common mistake of getting ink they don't like and can't remove. On the other hand, a beautiful part of this art form is that it is basically

In terms of Single Page Application frameworks, Angular is very popular. Comparing it to jQuery doesn't really make sense as jQuery is a utility library and doesn't support all of the features that Angular has.
