Agreed very cool. I had seen a previous process where sorting out conductive nanotubes from non-conductive ones by inducing a current in them and pull them into a different sluice with a magnetic field. Interesting stuff.

I believe for the same reasons that Latin helps develop a foundation in language, the people who designed it were looking at the problem from many different levels all at the same time. The first language I encountered with split behavioral

I was going to mention this as well. This is a link to Kaplan's paper : https://aclanthology.org/J94-3001.pdf which describes the work PARC did.

I mean "mr free speech absolutist" has already tweeted that anyone complaining about the government would have their account suspended. Kind of on brand for a nazi.

High hopes, low expectations :-). That said, 'quantum thermal diode' sounds like something that breaks on your space ship and if you don't fix it you won't be able to get the engines online to outrun the aliens. Even aft

Thanks for that, it's great that its 10x better than the previous best effort. It's notable that it needs to get 20x better again before it starts to have useful applications :-).

I don't disagree that it's proof they will succeed, it is however proof that they can build a supersonic aircraft. That is no small thing. Given that they can, they now need to build a larger one, which with more surface area will

There is an important difference between someone claiming on TV they can do something and seeing the effects of people believing something for which there is objective and easily obtained evidence that contradicts that belief.
