This article seems well below the usual standards of the BBC. It devolves into a soup of disjointed quotes under strange headings (all H2s) towards the end. There's almost nothing worth reading here.

Unfortunately, "unofficially" doesn't fly in a lot of workplaces. Until MS pluck up the courage and do everyone a favour, IE11 will continue to haunt developers. Now we got Legacy Edge too, whoopee.

These notifications can in a way act as a sort of adware. I had family friends who complained of pop ups on their laptop advertising dodgy products. Turned out they'd accidentally dismissed one of these with an OK and was being spammed
