I dream of a reusable glass bottle set. We could have basic designs such as wine, beer, short wide, tall narrow, etc. Like some areas have a tax on plastic bags, we could add a tax on goods sold in non-resusble and non compliant packaging.

Many of the doctors I have interacted with at Kaiser refuse to use the computer and ask someone else to come enter the notes and data while they examine me or my wife.

A substantial portion of the service sector runs with a seven day schedule, we don't push schools to offer seven day service in response? Perhaps having more mixed working arrangements will improve societal flexibility and better serve

Sad to hear. Growing up I had an Onkyo amplifier that I liked a lot. I picked it up at a garage sale for a few dollars and used it through my teenage years.

Unfortunately a lot of the old art in the world only exists because by modern reconing it was stolen. Consider the fabulous collection at the palace museum in Taipei. Much just like it was destroyed in the cultural revolution.

It works for employees, but only when you care about latency and the employees are interchangeable. A classic queueing example is tellers at a bank. One teller and the line is awful because of one complex transaction. Two and you are in and

I interpret this advice to mean that if you think 20 feet should do it, get a 30 or 50 foot cord. Personally, I prefer having more than one. At home I keep a pair of 50 foot cords of the same gauge as a 100 foot should be made of. I usually

In the coin flip scenario, the intrinsic properties of a coin result in a threshold of 50% which above a certain scale, is very "sharp" or sudden in the transition. Compare this to a hash table or queuing theory, where a certain a

I work on a project with a 3 hour CI process that handles about 15 to 40 PRs a day. The problem you describe here is a real challenge. Our PRs don't use a merge button. Once CI passes (your changes built on latest develop), then you ca

Only one chopstick appears to have an electrode, while the wristband looks like a ground contact. This device looks like it makes a circuit from the chopsticks, through your mouth and body to your arm.
