Re: gas stations for tire pressure - it's the worst! They'll charge an exorbitant rate, the timer cuts out before you get to your fourth tire, someone is parked in the way or the machine is down - filling the tires was literally m

My dad always said the three most stressful things were: Changing jobs, changing homes, changing relationships Try not to do all 3 at once :) But, I think you framed it better - a lot of people interpret what my dad said as the negative, bu

I would interpret 'side project' here as a work project that is not your primary and has low stakes for delivery into production timelines or expectations.

Sorry, I wasn't complaining about your post specifically, just a general tenor that kind of shits on this work because of an unsolvable problem: as you say there's actually no comprehensive dataset that would make it possible. You

Weird. No famous people are noted at the house I grew up in. Bad joke. This is amazing - thank you.

There's plenty of discussion in this thread on the methodology. Clearly Hillary has a longer and more verbose Wikipedia entry than any of those other people, which is no way surprising considering her length of tenure as a high profile

There's a lot of discussion here of the 'western lens' as you bring up, but I'm not sure that's fair criticism. The creator(s) aggregated data and built something very interesting. To complain that the data they use

Thank you for your comment. I had no idea, and appreciate the correction and lesson. My old neighborhood in Brooklyn always had filming, and my current town is on its third movie shot on main st so far this year - I wonder if those are usua

It's possible you are compensated for this though. It's not unlikely that the shoot pays your locality for the inconvenience and in turn your taxes are lower than they may otherwise be.

I wonder what the overlap of people is that: 1) are in a tizzy over promiscuity among adults, 2) advocate for organized religion, and 3) target 'hot young chicks'. You are a unique individual, I think. That said, maybe start think

Whenever I see that chart I feel gratified that I chose Makita when I was making the big battery decision a few years ago. Personally, I lean to independent brands. I don't want my Milwaukee tools having all the same parts as the Ryo

Downvoted you for the hyperbole. You're arguing that all crimes that have fines and jail time should be capital crimes instead?

Agreed. I had to watch the animation cycle a dozen times to address my curiosity on what the current symbols mean. Should have been two images like below, but with the text.

I find it ironic that you're worried about a 'woke culture' while speaking on behalf of other people's feelings that you don't know or work with.

I have SO MANY questions? Where does your domain name come from? How do you get people to trust that install? What's keeping you out of an app store? How do you source update material? I expected to see pr0n related stuff in this threa

I like your site, but are you marking prices up massively? A url in the domain search took me to a purchase page for $99/yr. I see the same domain on Hover for $14.... Are you bundling a bunch of additional services or something?

Honestly, I'm not sure it needs to be illegal. I'm not sure it shouldn't be either. I wholeheartedly admit, some of our data providers are shady, and there's no way I would go work for them. I don't like the way the

Not sure why this is getting downvoted. I think it's a good and reasonable question. I suspect it's the difference between an app's prompt and the OS's prompt.

My team used to buy location data that we packaged up into reports for equities investors - the premise being the more foot-traffic your brand had, the more revenue you're likely to have. Tons of apps sell this info. I think a lot of t

Just note that it's going to be very, very rare that the person you're being "impolite" to has influence to change the company in a way to "do what you need them to do".

Above ground power in areas with large trees is a recipe for longer power outages. I was in northern NJ when Superstorm Sandy hit, and that suburb had many houses with multi-week outages.
