I don't know much about it, but I was under the impression that the new asyncio library in Py3 included callback support -- though it may not have everything you want that's in Twisted.

http://xahlee.info/perl-python/xlali_skami_cukta.html Well, I think his criticisms are pretty well-founded. He just doesn't say it in a way you would enjoy.

True, but then he also gives examples of people that cope with social isolation just fine, suggesting that they substitute the environment instead. That sounds more like support for sensory deprivation being the cause of his claims.

It seems to work for me even without letting go of Command, I just need to tap Option while Command is being held down and it will pop the window back out.

It seems like the author's confusing two concepts here. He postulates about isolation from human contact, but all his examples are for isolation from sunlight or sensory deprivation. I don't disagree that there are connections b

I guess it's a little odd that Python 3 treats stdin and stdout by default as unicode text streams. And sys.argv is a list of unicode strings, too, instead of bytes.

You could say it's a snipe at the weak type system that Javascript has. I dunno, as someone without much experience with Javascript, it is a little odd that arrays return the index alongside the value by default.

Man, that sucks. Do you have a project site for your real source code?

I comically interpreted your example of hi-res monitors as jamming more code on the screen at once.

I'm unfamiliar with this dangling else problem. I googled it and I don't see how it could be a problem with significant whitespace. I can understand making it faster for the parser, though.

Personally, it's not a significant issue, but it is a preference. Do you indent code when coding with braces? How anal are you about keeping your code formatted consistently (i.e. spaces after operators)?

I don't think that's a fair statement. You would still have to keep track of and type curly braces, only now they'd be invisible.

There is software[1] available for mouse gestures, although it appears that it's third party and hasn't been updated in some time. Firefox has some very nice add-ons that do mouse gestures as well. For X11, there's Easystro

I hate that macs have the mouse acceleration cranked up by default. Every time I have to show a coworker how to do something on his computer, I have to stifle the urge to throw his mouse across the room.

From my limited use of it: clicking with it--since the whole body clicks--moves the cursor out of place, such that I lose precision clicking. The scroll ball is atrocious. It gets dirty and loses function, and it's not easy to clean.

I don't think his post was blatant enough for the devs to pick up on it. Seems like the only guy that responded tl;dr'd it. He should have stated very clearly that this is a MAJOR security issue.

I did read the article. I was just pointing out that the poster's original statement seemed to exclude prime integers -- well, unless the empty product is a product of primes.

What about prime integers? Aren't they a product of 1 and themselves?

I have never had much luck speed-reading technical papers. It's too difficult for me to interpret and think critically together -- words flashing by will go unevaluated I think.
