Doesn't help. The point is Excel doesn't know what range I want when I extend my table, not whether I can give the range a name or not.

Oh my goodness, you're going to get my spreadsheet rant. This is what frustrates me every single time I use Excel (or the Google Docs spreadsheet, for that matter). I may not be answering your question since I'm talking about usability ins

Appjet ( http://appjet.com/learn-to-program/lessons/intro ) would be really cool. When he wrote a program, he could share it with his friends instantly just by sending them the URL.

I'm a bit confused what you're asking for... are you, personally, in financial trouble, and looking for ways to save money? Or are you thinking of starting a business that would make money by helping people save money?

I haven't looked into getting multiple asset hosts to work with S3 myself, but how much asset data do you have? Storing the same data in multiple buckets certainly sounds inelegant, but, on the other hand, storing 1MB in S3 only costs $0.0

Aha, that explains why resumes are so useless: a resume is a listing of credentials.

I don't disagree with your comment overall, but specifically on the point of backups: backups are far and away much easier on EC2 compared to other hosting providers with now that Amazon has the new Elastic Block Store feature... need a bac

I use both Linode and AWS, and I find both easy to administer. I would say AWS has a mildly steeper learning curve (various AWS command line utilities to install, etc.), but nothing I found difficult. A really nice thing about AWS is that y

I just happen to vehemently disagree with the notion that you can let revolving debt ride while you pursue high-risk investments Starting a business is not a high-risk investment (unless you put your own money into it) And if you truly b

I did that. I got a contracting job making $50/hour, worked for a year, grossed $100K ($50 an hour times 40 hours a week times 50 weeks in a year), paid off my $40K debt, paid $40K in taxes, and lived off of the remaining $20K. So I want t

Yes, I once had a failed startup, and ended up with $40K in credit card debt. I assume you are personally liable for the business credit card debt. (As you generally can't get a business credit card without personally guaranteeing it). So

What I meant to ask was is this an issue with MzScheme or the Hacker News code? The reason why I'm asking is because I have a project I'm writing in Arc on MzScheme, and it would be helpful for me to know if MzScheme has a garbage collecti

Is running out of memory a bug in MzScheme, or instead e.g. Hacker News not removing references to items not recently used (that could be latest lazily loaded from disk if needed again)?

Sure, for the same amount of house, other factors being equal. But that doesn't mean that the prices people pay for houses goes down, even if other factors stay equal, because people buy larger houses with more features for their money.

An improvement, but the result is still pretty ugly. Displays content in a smaller, harder to read font than my default. No button to give feedback "you messed up, I can't read your 'readable' version".
