I'm not in Startup Chile, just visiting my grandfather and doing some sightseeing. I use an over-the-shoulder bag like many of the businessmen here use. I only keep valuables in one pants pocket that I can be more aware of and contro

What part of Santiago? At this moment, I'm staying at a hotel in Las Condes. This part of the city seems very safe, but I've taken the subway to other parts of the city, and never felt unsafe in those other places either. Part

I visited the capital of Tonga in 2009. It's a nice place and the locals are very friendly. If I had to choose an island nation to live on, I would choose Tonga. When I was briefly there, the locals weren't exposed to much gadet

I just learned about the Neptune Pine from another HN post. Neptune just announced their latest device, the Neptune Duo. I was hoping for something like the Neptune Pine, but smaller and slimmer. This fits that bill, but once again it&#x

Hairspray is a bad idea IMO. It will leave residue behind. There are cans of fake smoke you can get at the hardware store. I worked on ships and tested smoke alarms that way.

That sucks, but I highly doubt a customer service rep knows what a .trash folder is or what shell access means. A customer service rep is just going to repeat what he/she has been instructed to say in that regard. It would be difficu

You might want to look into the Thinkpad Yoga. I use it mainly as a laptop, but the few times I've used it as a tablet, it's worked out pretty well for me. (I also think it's the perfect device for Windows 8.1). If there i
