If RCS is a standard what's stopping someone from writing an app that encrypts your plaintext? Sure, it'll leak meta data, but at least the actual plaintext is encrypted.

Americans think the poor are slackers and they don't deserve anything. Even poor Americans think the "other" poor are slackers and don't deserve anything. Nothing will change until you change this mindset.

Interestingly, I don't know a single person who uses FB Messenger. Plenty who use FB, just not messenger. It's SMS, iMessage or WhatsApp.

This would have to be the case. You can't trust an Android device to not have anything between the keyboard app and the messaging app.

I dislike having anything on my wrist (or fingers, to the chagrin of my wife...). I don't mind having a wallet and phone in my pocket, however.

That's awesome. Anything more than about a half diopter and you'll probably not get away with that in glasses. Contacts can go a little higher. I'm personally astigmatism sensitive, so I have to be spot on for degree and dio

You don't technically need an Rx. You can go to Zenni and just start plugging in numbers if you want. I'm not sure what that gains you, though.

Your PD is not actually part of your Rx. That's why it's normally not included. Your Rx consists of a OS Rx and OD Rx.

That's fair, but the argument about Electron is how wasteful it is. Devs should just know better than to be that blatantly wasteful of resources. I know, we live in a world of abundance, but that just isn't any excuse.

Not true. Those companies are focusing more on developer productivity than they are on the end user. Picking Electron is ALL about developers. Nothing more or less.
