The hope, then, is that when taking something more "natural" as opposed to man-made is that that natural product will inherently contain a wider variety of compounds that taken together create a more potent, but gentle effect on the patien

I disagree. There are two main economic reasons to own stock: to earn dividend, or to sell the stock later at a higher price. In Amazon's case, they make almost no profits, so only the second reason applies. Then, what you're really predict

That sounds exactly like the workaround a mildly autistic person would come up with after being lied to a couple of times. Where are you on the autism spectrum?

Two things to note, though: 1) the script as given doesn't actually generate graphical output, just a text file; 2) something like Quartz Composer would be perfect for doing this with a GUI.

Of course racism was prevalent at the time, but does that discredit all arguments against putting cocaine in soda? Can we say that the social ill-effects are completely imaginary just because at the time concern was focused on blacks? The a

This is a very smart move by Musk from a PR point of view. By accusing Boeing's batteries of being fundamentally unsafe, he garners the maximum amount of trust from people who are concerned about battery safety, so that, when he immediately

"Figuring out" seems more active than "reading" to me. But of course being active is better than being passive in our culture, so the newer and better tech will always be labeled "active" no matter what it actually does.

Why is Apple so afraid of pornography, anyway? I could understand wanting to avoid bad publicity in the early days of the app store; but now there's a competing platform overflowing with porn apps (at least I'm assuming that's the case with

Reminiscent of the old joke where the physicist says "let's assume the horse is a sphere." But while a sphere might be a good model for a horse, it's definitely not a good model for how actual computers currently work. In other words, the "
