I stopped caring about the look after I started putting my $650 12 Mini in a Quadlock case which by itself is kind of dorky. I don't even care about the color anymore. Whenever I take it out to clean it looks brand new.

It looks like a pretty sophisticated GISel implementation, native without any DAGISel fallback. Pretty cool. They should probably email Chris Lattner for an ELF.h EM_xxx number even if they don't submit it. I like it.

Why? Well, LLVM IR is pretty low level. Lattner and company learned when doing Swift that analyses and optimizations were more easily done with a higher level IR. So they created the higher level Swift IR and analyzed and optimized in that

I wonder why it’s not possible to route around weather. We have slowed shipping (Slow Steaming) because no one was willing to pay the extra fuel cost for the faster transits. We’re very good at nowcasting and forecasting weather globally an

You're talking about Slow Steaming but these ships still use a bulbous bow. Indeed older ships are actually being taken into dry dock and re-nosed to tune the cruising speed down to a slower more efficient speed. What happened was th

What it doesn't have is a bulbous bow which at a critical cruising speed sets up a counter bow wave to reduce hull drag. So the X-Bow probably isn't efficient for ocean transiting tankers and container ships.

Struct packing has its points for small structs. Indeed, you can reduce cache use and increase cache locality. However for large structs, page aligned structs, the cache lines will be constrained to a particular set. Moreover, pointer follo
