I was raised in the darkness, so things don’t often look as bad as they are to me. Regardless, the clear distinction between PHP and JavaScript seems to be that I can choose whether or not I’d like to use one but not the other (and no, wasm

Iirc, the last time I looked into this, .test is the recommended TLD to use because it’s reserved for non-production use I.e. it will never be bought or sold.

Could you throw out some names you liked? I tried See thinking it would be really good. I was unfortunately really disappointed and stopped watching after a little over halfway through the season. It diminished my faith in the platform beca

It’s funny to think about the differences in technical ability here. I build stuff for people to edit that our team often ends up editing for them. It’s not a complex CMS. People just get nervous and/or are lazy. Just existing in the d

I'm sorry, I'm still confused. Perhaps the best question to ask you is where does the risk come from him borrowing the money either way? He gets it for virtually free. The fed propping up the market devalues the currency, yes, but

Isn’t the idea that the fed makes it basically free, and if you get in big trouble they’ll just step in and bail you out?

Fair enough. I guess I know what Zeit means, but not Vercel. Maybe they just wanted the “V” to fit nicely next to the triangle? ;)

This is pretty cool. It’s reminds me of https://css-doodle.com/ , which is a native web component with the same general goal. Iirc, it uses canvas under the hood.

I’m surprised to see so many people nagging about the brand. As one user pointed out, there’s a big newspaper brand with that name already. And otherwise, who cares, really? Same company. It’s not a soccer team.

Interestingly, the thread you linked to also has links to other discussions where the React.js team provide their reasoning for why they decided against using generators[0] that the author of Crank.js didn't mention in their post. Ther

Okay, good. I know it's popular to hate on JS, but I think it catches a lot of undue flack. I know it's not perfect, but I also know enough to have at least learned the reasons for most of its shortcomings. I mainly asked because

I'm not totally anti-jquery, but it helps to stay lightweight. If convenience is what you're after, you can always just bind querySelector and querySelectorAll to the document and assign each to a variable like this: https:/

I’m surprised more people on here aren’t using something like https://alpaca.markets . It’s primarily for algo trading, but there’s nothing stopping you from using it generally, as it is an API, after all.
