FYI There is a blog post for interested, a reverse engine of AWS Lambda for Python, which does not use RPC/network at all, instead uses shared memory to communicate, which could be more of a challenge. https://www.denialof.s

Well, it was a Renault 21 with a carburetor, and it had only 150K kms for over 20 years and nice use. It used to work great in Izmir where it was warm but when I attended University at Ankara where it was freezing, it required more than 3 i

Yeah, I already mentioned that in the blog, Although Gob is simple enough, this was better as an experiment. But implementing Gob would be more mature choice in the long run.

Yeah, Making use of Graal’s polyglot interface would be better, but I did not have much luck to compile Go to LLVM, as I am not so familiar, but would try that soon more intensely.

Do you think management nodes are free? Master nodes need to run etcd+kube api. These master nodes are multi region available with HA configured, which will be expensive even if you use smaller instances yourself. Google might be free but i

Do you backup your S3 buckets? Digital Ocean Spaces is equivalent of that. So one would hope that would be stable enough to treat as a backup. Of course you have too important files, you can duplicate them, we backup our S3 buckets to anoth

It also considers bandwidth requirements as I see, which Netflix surely needs and schedules containers accoridng to that, because of each network interface and instance has some limits.

Although Docker images are not hard to build, (it is just a layers of tars with proper jsons) it is very nice to see such tools rise. Although I have a nice Kubernetes cluster, or any orchestrator, due to security reasons, I have to come up

Good to see CSI is gaining traction. Only if we could build containers inside K8S pods safely, I would be very happy. Maintaining a stupid Docker cluster for just building containers is really a burden.

This is already Swarm V2, there was older Swarm, which worked nice enough. It was equivalent of multi-host Docker run, which could filter based on constraints and do bin-packing, and had even support for multi host networking with etcd/

There might be some problems with it, it is not perfect, however it is already open, not bound to Google and we used in internal projects, and multiple very large projects also use it freely. I really like the strong typing and the ability
