Indeed. The problem is and has been for awhile that the "other team" is not willing to purposefully acquire and wield power. They seem to have a very confused view of what politics actually is, to the point where it's not cle

When reality doesn't agree with logic, question your assumptions. Why does an alcoholic crash their car and ruin all their personal relationships? Why does someone with impulse control problems make a self destructive statement? Why do

When you ask yourself why the Democratic Party doesn't in fact do things that you think would be obvious ways to further it's goals and purpose, over and over again, for generations, you might want to start pondering this concept:

The current system is wildly unfair and harmful to American manufacturers, and it's especially unfair to American brands that manufacture abroad but bring their goods to the U.S. in bulk.

The point is that capital has a cost. If you’re not carrying the cost of that capital on the books you’re not “making money” at all.

Depends on what kind of restaurant. But the point is that a business model that is "profitable" but actually took millions in initial capital and has no provision for debt service isn't an actually profitable business model.

You have to add “and return initial capital” to that list. That’s usually what’s at issue here.

While I do agree with you, if it took tens of millions of dollars in initial capital to get there, which hasn’t been returned, it’s quite a different thing to the standard small businesses model.

The core reasons the jobs left are industrial and monetary policies. Or, said another way, because the Chinese prioritized and subsidized manufacturing growth and we did the opposite. Why? Because it made some specific Americans very rich.

These are literally microchips. Tens of thousands of dollars of value in each gram. Shipping cost is fundamentally irrelevant, you can put $100MM worth on a direct flight and have room left over for your family and friends.
