Also, the US has a lot of influence over the flow of oil in the world. A world of cheap solar energy removes that influence.

And we need a standard where websites can self-rate their own content. Then locked devices can just block all content that isn't rated "G" or whatever.

Does the pledge of allegiance actually do anything? I can't even remember if I did it in school. I first thought "oh, my State must not have done the pledge in school", but after more reflection I think I did but just doing r

I've said before that we need strong legal protections for white-hat and even grey-hat security researchers or hackers. As long as they report what they have found and follow certain rules, they need to be protected from any prosecutio

An example of this I've personally seen is a friend who works on COBOL mainframes at a bank. He writes COBOL and maintains a banking system that keeps the world running. Literally like a billion people die if the system he maintains fa

Politicians want power over people in the country, but also internet technology is one of the only things the US is best at, and so we don't want the entire world dividing into separate internet silos. (The other things we're best

We look the other way for so many actual gun tradgedies. "What more can we do?" But when it comes to a theoretical problem we must take action even if it takes freedoms and opportunities away from normal people.
