This article is long winded, very hyperbolic and incredibly self righteous. Take a look and tell me I'm wrong.

This sounds a lot like people living in New York all their life and saying that the planet is overpopulated and that there is no space left. What you are saying might apply to the bay area, but it doesn't apply to almost anywhere else.

Using all your cores for the same workload would mean it finishes faster or finishes in the same time with significantly lower frequency. It saves power and heat. Your example would mean using more cores for the same amount of time, which

If people got their game on Steam and got to keep it, how did Epic cut it and how did people get screwed over? For the Kickstarter, did people pay to buy the game and not get it while not being refunded? We're they promised a copy of

To be clear, a game was on Steam, Steam took people's money, Steam let the game be removed from people that bought it, Steam didn't give people their money back, and people blame Epic?

The faster a CPU finishes, the faster the CPU can sleep, which is how you save battery life. The more cores you use the lower the CPU frequency can be, which saves power, since frequency increases do not use power linearly. I think it goes

Shouldn't they be mad at Steam for cutting access to a game they bought? Why aren't they mad at the company that bait and switched them?

I've tried working like that and it makes a massive difference. To be able to visualize all the intermediate stages is valuable because they are basically never right until you are able to isolate and refine them individually. https:&

This is not true at all. I think you might mean memory latency. Modern CPUs are primarily designed around memory latency. Very few programs are limited by memory bandwidth. At that point you have done a good job of optimizing already.

How does that share data between multiple Redis processes?

Doesn't that end up duplicating lots of data and work since the processes are independent? They don't share data do they?

If redis isn't multi-threaded the more cores and threads you have, the less CPU usage the machine would show, even if Redis is being stressed.
