People might even make hyperbolic assumptions about the future while preying on uncertainty.

Reading hacker news has made me think the same thing. I'm not sure why people seem to have no problem with being bated and lied to to get their attention.

Would that make me live 200,000 years in the past? I missed the time travel alluded to in the title.

Again, this is one element that is very easy and extremely effective for the amount of effort it requires. You can still change DNS on individual devices if you want. You can still use local adblockers. You can still make individual device

Pi-Hole is very easy and very polished. It ends up blocking almost 30% of all my dns requests.

DNS is passive, network wide and works extremely well overall. It isn't iron clad, it isn't 100% and it isn't the only thing you can use. That doesn't mean it doesn't work.

You might want to actually use it first before thinking you want to use it more. Forth is simple because it is primitive and passes the cognitive load on to you.

I went from a $70 per month plan to mint mobile and now I don't even remember what I pay because it is so much cheaper ($15 or less for 2GB). I love paying for a year at a time through a really clean interface, getting a discount AND

What did this do and why was using multiple languages, an entire web browser and the jvm a good fit?

Don't forget modern C++ and the well designed but forgotten Clay language. The reality is that go and java aren't system languages, they are just fast. More than that though the C and C++ competitors don't have the tools and

Right, the virus is SARS-CoV-2, so if there were two different strains of something, wouldn't it mean two different strains of the virus itself?

If there is municipal internet, it should set a price that is sustainable but forces other ISPs to compete. Also competition doesn't only mean two of the same thing. More competition helps in general, even when the number of ISPs seem

That's my point. Instead of having a government regulate a monopoly, if government is going to intervene it should be to allow others to compete first.

Competition accomplishes the same thing. Look at any area where Comcast or AT&T have competition, they shape up very quickly. DOCSIS 3.0 and 3.1 are actually very fast. Cable companies know however that if the better the internet the

This also seems odd to me because Lua can be embedded in a binary easily or made into a shared library since it is just C with no dependencies of its own.

What is it missing though? It seems like this could be a different syntax compiled to Lua bytecode.

Defaults cause zig to error out. This isn't that hard to understand or fix. It isn't even clear when it happens because it's just not something that any other compiler would error on. It isn't about being able to fix i
