Right. Any particular resource/list of known Win11 annoyances you've used as reference or did you just tackle them one by one?

Yes, good stuff. Also useful if you have an external PC keyboard and want "INS(ERT)" (0x700000049) to do something sensible...

Someone needs to write that "65C816 Register Allocation and Instruction Selection" book. On the flip side, I am working on an ARM64 codegen and I pretty much have only myself to blame for the lack of progress...

Also worth mentioning, the 3dfx Voodoo SDK, docs and examples. For those like me (zero previous experience with 3D API's) it was a lot of fun to play with. And! Still available today: DOSBox-X has Voodoo1 support built-in (or host pass

I wrote a 65C816 assembler back in day, together with a friend who had Super Famicom. I remember looking at some of the hand-written code from the demos and thinking well, hm, this code would be tricky to generate...

Noticed this on the Github page: We need a 'proper' 65C816 C compiler Aren't there any?

while you're here, I'm seizing this opportunity to thank you for that wchar_t section, it really is good work. As for C23, quality takes time :)

Surely not everybody's cup of tea but that line is one of the reasons why I like the original audiobook so much (the abridged version read by Gibson himself - not the Audible one). His voice gets distorted on reading the AI's line

Do you remember the final chapter of Neuromancer? The nature of the alien signal was such, its detection actually required AI, albeit of the superhuman/super intelligent flavor, so I am not sure what we currently call "AI"

Yes indeed, but I was more thinking of this as a general consideration as I'd imagine non-negligible PFAS concentrations may occur in store-bought fish too. It'd be good to see more studies on this.

So, what does the risk/benefit equation look like now? A JAMA article [1] from 2006 concluded that: Overall, the health benefits of eating fish greatly outweigh the potential risks—especially when guidelines are used to reduce the

Good one, should stay pretty readable for non-trivial graphs. And I agree, as-found-on-traversal ordering is likely as good as any other. I guess the Dream DAG would be some sort interactive zoom&click to expand thing, probably beyond

Great! I like the idea of the depth limit as well as how you inlined part of the quadratic equation, I'd like to have a flag/switch for something like that too, e.g. maybe print out the condition part of a while statement inline

Thank you. I think I'll bite the bullet and write my own AST dumper too. Got to love those line-drawing chars. P.S. graphviz/dot = same here.

Pushing the boundaries of what can be done in a term, extremely cool! Output looks really slick too. Could it also be used to draw an AST or a DAG?

I didn't know there was a 2nd edition, thanks! Petzold is a hero, this talk (2014) is on that same 'back to basics' wavelength and it's just brilliant: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srWQdTGlnVg
