Paper is just too inconvenient to use for long term storage and revisiting imo. It's better suited as a transitive storage medium, either for short lived stuff like tasks, checklists, or acting as a writing inbox that you later capture

There is a Cuba museum in my hometown, Tuxpan, Veracruz Mexico. History goes that, Fidel Castro, after exiling, organized and trained men and then sailed from the port to Cuba, ultimately this starting the Cuba revolution and his regime

That comment chain depicts perfectly my thoughts about LLMs. Yeah, they can generate a lot of code, but someone has to look at all that, and clanker code is more taxing to read than code written by another person which wasn't easy to r

This is notorious in platforms like reddit, with people jumping in to suggest no name products in response to questions. It doesn't help that reddit allows private profiles, thus allowing astroturfers to get away with it. Also, another

I did a while ago, first you've gotta fix your setup so the top of the monitor is at eye level. Then do neck bridges; put yourself with your back against the wall, use the back of your head as support and move your body and feet a bit

This better reflects what I thought about the other day. You either, let clankers do its thing and then bake in your implementation on top, you think it through and make them do it, but at the end of the day you've still gotta THINK of

Unlimited access to APIs. A security hazard. A slot machine but with your work. Not kidding, that's what I think of it. I can see its value I guess, as in, "give me a summary of my today's emails" or "What are my ne

I think I'm not getting it. What's the problem if someone else can claim that bucket name? If it's deleted wouldn't the data be deleted too? Or is it there something I'm missing.

You're not any better my friend. Name calling and straw man fallacies make a far worse point, if any, that that commenter made.

That's true. Claude Code should lawyer up. This is a clear case of libel.

Flirt with Claude Code. Go out on dates with Claude Code. Propose to Claude Code. Marry Claude Code. Have children, with Claude Code. Caress Claude Code at night. Die, by Claude Code's side.

Slow and bloated, it is very much the current state. They're convenient, particularly because they're bloated and work OOTB, but go and try a decent sized project on 16gb RAM.

I can see the value of doing this but I think that this is a case of the 80-20 rule. Just the low effort 80, which could be keeping a journal where you reflect on how you felt a given day, why that might be, and what steps to take to avoid

Such is the case in most of the developing world. I.e only one city here in Mexico has potable tap water. A RO system costs like $350, plus the filter renewal costs. I did the math, and it's cheaper to just buy the purified water off

I agree, it just sucks at understanding style and simplicity. It's good at code generation, feature wise, it can scaffold and cobble together shit, but when it comes down to code structure, architecture, you essentially have to argue w

I agree. I for one, welcome LLMs for sensible uses, like trivia, code boilerplate, as a content synthesizer. I wouldn't trust it with anything else, and have found that any gains obtained by speedups in code writing are offset by the

I wouldn't trust LLMs with anything, even low stakes things like handling my notes. I fail to see how people willingly give keys to the kingdom, why, asides from just FOMO/trend chasing.
