I'll keep my comment briefer than before. :-) Unfortunately I think we are talking past each other. The basic issue is that you are taking the constitution as a given, but my questions are about how government should be, not how it

I used to go into Staples or Circuit City and go to the demo computers. I'd hit the reset button, boot into DOS, open up QBasic, and write a classic program along the lines of 10 PRINT "BRENBARN RULEZ!" 20 GOTO 10. Add a li

I played computer games as a kid and got interested in computers. I looked at books from the library on how to make games. This was in the 90s and many of the library books were from the 70s or early 80s. Many of them focused on computer

I like the way you've stated your position, but I do have some questions. > Lastly, I don't know of the union has a chance of lasting if we can't allow states to enact ridiculous laws we don't like. I can understand t

Those numbers are a pittance relative to his wealth. He could have established a foundation and given it hundreds of millions of dollars specifically to push for a more equitable taxation system. He did not do that.

I was responding to a comment that defended Buffet by saying he "argued for changing complex and unfair taxation". I'm saying if you have billions that could be spent on taking tangible action to change such taxation, simp

Is that charitable trust going to fight for wealth equality and a more progressive tax system?

Yes, that's giving it away (some after death), not specifically using it to address wealth inequality.

With $150 billion dollars he could have done a lot more than "argue for" changing taxation. If he had spent that money actively fighting for a better system, maybe that'd be worth something. To sit back on your billions and

This is my impression as well. From what I've seen, many Gen Z people only loosely even think in terms of things like "files". They are used to integrations where everything just lives on some website or in a Google app and

That seems to be a third-party library that claims to add Qt Widgets support to QML, but it's hard to see from those examples how exactly it works. It still seems to be using a QML-style layout framework. What I'm saying is I wo
