Node.js! It can help you collaborate with more teams. Lots of reusable code in the ecosystem.

Hi. I also work at Ultra Mobile on the SRE team. All the SRE positions are indeed fully remote. You may contact me using my profile information if you are interested in getting some questions answered.

Twitter? Depends on your focus, I think. Dev Twitter is pretty nice for me.

Until the open source options have direct download options that 'just work', Quicken is the best. I've tried GnuCash and Skrooge, can't ever get the direct downloads to work for more than two months without breaking.

What are your performance requirements? If you have none, this is probably a pre-optimization.

Sounds like a '50% corresponding hours' for a minute late.

Heroku has a 'no credit card free tier'; I can't blame them. Thanks for posting! Devs now have another anecdote.

I've tried the 'x% discount for y guaranteed amount of hours' pitch before. It doesn't really work; most potential clients are still thinking about the '$z/hour' that you told them before the pitch.

Perhaps! 2.0 has Babel Macros. I think this may allow user changes to config without rolling the react-scripts package to npm with your changes.

I applied to the open SRE position but got passed because they require EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) timezones. That was not listed anywhere on the posting or title/subtitle. Can this get fixed?

I like your pitch. And, you've got a ton of response here on HN. I'm a bit late to the game here, but maybe we can jive. I have various ideas in the cryptocurrency space. Solo founder, working for 3.5 years on various ideas. I

I have recently finished (today) some ETL work with Pandas. Pandas touts time series resampling features that are hard to match anywhere else. Disclaimer: Contributed performance improvements to Pandas around two years ago.
