I liked the idea of mini PCs, but for my usecases, they weren't powerful enough. In the end, I went with what I'd call "medium PC" - Intel NUC 13 extreme. Desktop-level components in a small form factor. At the time, I c

Wow, this looks awesome for a low-usage home server (since it makes no noise). Does it handle load well though?

Love it. My VSCode takes 3GB of RAM and that's a single window with like 5 files open at one time. I've long been looking for a good-enough replacement (though I don't think I'll be able to leave debugpy for a while)

What projects are you working on that take 5GB of venv size? My venvs are under 1GB. What I would consider a large automation framework is ~150MB.

Going to sleep is the easy part. The quality of your sleep is the thing :) The biggest problem is that you don't know how good/bad your sleep is, unless you make some changes to your lifestyle (e.g. starting or stopping with coffe

Well, per [1], it increases dopamine, norepinephrine, serotonin, and other chemicals in the brain. It is highly unlikely that it has no effect on one's decision making (esp. when you take it when you are _not_ very tired). It's mo

Caffeine is a very interesting drug that makes capitalism and just daily work bearable. It's interesting that this went all the way to 1800s for the US. After reading Your Mind on Plants [1], I decided to do an experiment, and stop any
