+1 datapoint: I've decompiled several to find out how they work, and found most use mono. Maybe it depends how indie your game is? My dcompilation writeups can be found here: https://www.boristhebrave.com/category/

So, this does nothing to actually combat space junk in the sense of debris in orbit. The actual goal is: > We are very concerned with the fact that all the satellites which re-enter the Earth's atmosphere burn and create tiny alumin

Strictly speaking, yes, there are risks associated. But there's still a wide difference between those risks, and speculating on the (not-immediate) future.

No, arbitrage is a combination of trades that essentially risk free as they offset each other. This is just regular trading. Every time he swaps a card, he takes the risk that he won't be able to offload the new card.

The length of a game varies according to what the players do. If your opponent plays a slow strategy, and you a quick one, not only will your deck become useless to do anything with, but you will lose your power to control game length (as i

So the key difference is that columns are not compressed, and can be in smaller batches. Can those not just be options to the Parquet file rather than having a whole new format?

The biggest deal for me is type safety (I use C#'s EntityFramework). While composing the ORM queries, I get the benefit of static verification, autocompletion, and can avoid the common boilerplate of joins. When reading code, find-refe

While gene drives are scary powerful tech (note, the featured article is not a gene drive), I don't think it would really be a problem humanity wise. We breed a lot slower, so we'd have decades to notice and deal with a problem. A
