The face recognition part was too good for not picking up the face of other people. Or was it detecting just the most similar face? But facial recognition aside, the uses are endless. If it can be brought to the same level Kinect driver

I can't recall the source, but this "max eye frame rate" was shown to be a misinterpretation. The individual eye's components do have a frame rate, but they are not synchronized, so the eye as a whole can detect changes smaller than that.

But Uncyclopedia and Encyclopedia Dramatica don't claim to hold the universal truth or try to convince people to follow a specific lifestyle based on that. On a site note, my GGP post earned me my 666th karma point. Very suitable.

Somebody better update the people using it as an anti-science argument. Edit: I'm serious. Conservapedia used to have an article about it and how it discredits the scientific model and whatnot. There's a huge knowledge gap between this view

A very good video, but I think it would be fair to explain it's not official. I clicked thinking it was something along the lines of IBM's 100.

I won't upvote GP because it contains a factual error and you can't upvote only parts of a comment. If it was edited to include a note about the mistake, thus dismissing the error, I'm sure it'll get get some votes.

Comparing the software revolution with a robot revolution is just unfair. The hardware part that fueled the software revolution was multi-purpose, so there was a fixed initial cost while the cost to develop the subsequent (amateur) programs

As a layman, I've grown to associate "new phase of matter" with concepts that I'll never hear about again. It sounds like "there's a hole here, but we made a cork for it, and guess what, it fits!", aka too much model rearranging. Said that,

I'm personally opposed to this worldview, along with all the praise to "talent". I don't see it as natural, but requiring practice and dedication. From my point of view, "everyone has a purpose" is actually harmful because people will hop o
