Nice site. I bookmarked it but it would be cool to sign up for a email when there are new themes available. A very passive way to stay top of mind. Thanks for creating this!

Nice mention of @CodeAcademy. When does it become cost effective to train large amounts of talent at no cost to the students? It could pay off over the long term but I imagine there would be a one-year minimum lock-in to keep students at th

Kickstarter continues to prove that good ideas spread quickly. Where websites show viral growth in user visits, kickstart shows it with real dollars for real products. Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing this post- it lets the community get

That's an interesting idea. Kind of like a ghost account? Or what if you logged in with email only and then auto-followed the founder/popular members so you still get rich, person-centric advice?

Thanks for the feedback! Do you think just having a email login or a fb login would be enough?

gtrot.com started with Facebook-Connect login only. We didn't allow any access into the site unless you created account. The primary reason for this was that we used Facebook data to show you where your friends lived, where they've been and

The site looks great-- I think the purpose that it serves is very inspiring. Continue to tell stories like yours on your site, and I'm sure it will reach the audience you want faster.

Thanks for sharing this story. I think it speaks to the commonly overlooked notion that you should set out to build a business, not just a web product. Details on which costs you chose to attack first (technical debt vs. free subscriptions

Do you think you'd find value in using it for your local city? Would you use it for a future trip?

We'll have to double check about expired events- they should automatically filter out. Thanks for the catch.

Great to hear you found some new stuff. If you logged in, you should start to see friend check-ins and things that are trending. Do you think time of day would help or search instead of filter?

Thanks for the feedback. Did you link your Foursquare account, did you see results update? (or was it unclear you could even connect with Foursquare?)

Hey! Thanks for your feedback. What would you imagine better way to educate the user that we rank results based on your likes, so first page of results should be the best (if you login)?

Thanks for checking it out. Good catch on case-sensitive cities. Results will update based on friend check-ins. Can take a minute or two to load. You can also add your Foursquare profile if you have one to help influence results.

Did you login to Facebook before adding the second location? We can't personalize data for your results unless you connect into Facebook. Our goal is to encourage people to connect to get richer results.
