Do you think you'd find value in using it for your local city? Would you use it for a future trip?
- dlf 15y agoAbsolutely. I just haven't looked at it since about August and didn't think to use it in my local city, but it seems to work pretty well here in Boston. I'm heading down to Buenos Aires for a couple of months in January, so I'll test it out down there as well. I think once it catches on with my friends (I tried back in July, but I'll keep at it) it's got a lot of potential. I think people naturally like sharing new places and experiences with people. If I post a status message on Facebook that I'm going to Random City, someone will tell me to eat at a certain place or make sure I see a certain thing. It looks like there's enough recommendations that it's not as reliant on the network effects that made it less appealing in the beginning. Are those all user recs or did you have to scrape data from someplace else?
