Eh, sure, but for me the appeal early-on was I could discover a lot of quirky, well-curated indie titles for a crazy cheap amount of money, including some that didn't have any marketing budget but were remarkably good to play. It was

One year at GDC (game developer's conference) I saw that SpaceX of all companies had a booth in the same area of the conference reserved for companies looking to hire devs. At first I thought this was rather curious. What on earth wou

Not really. Looking at my code, I'll often see myself writing comments where I refer to functions and the like as "things". I never see written sentences as things, at least not in the same way. The closest analogy I can th

Yeah, personally I find it in poor taste on the part of Crossfit to promote icons like Rhabdo the Clown. Granted, it's not official, but official enough for a decent looking cartoon mascot to exist They're raising awareness on a

I would argue that a sure fire way to make sure your game is more likely to succeed is actually making sure that your game is something that people genuinely want to play. Which kinda goes against the indie mantra of "make what you wan

I have to wonder how politically motivated this might be. I met an older couple a while ago who refused to file taxes to protest the war. Wasn't illegal mind you. They simply made sure that they didn't earn more than cut-off ($9

I'll throw in that this doesn't necessarily mean just use Ruby on Rails and get coding. I mean, that will probably allow you to ship a bare bones MVP pretty quickly, but making improvements to said MVP in a timely manner may be a
