I think in general it's a mix between parents choice and society. I noticed you didn't want to use the word government there and instead used "society". More often than not it's unelected bureaucrats doing the re

There needs to be regulations which prohibit apps from generating content which incites such stupidity. Don't be like that. Think about that statement.

And how do propose to enact and enforce that law when we don't want that? Do you think because someone writes something on a piece of paper that says you can only use so much AC that people are just going to say, "oh, ok..someone

The Washington Post has sunk to a new low by publishing that despicable vile. I can't say that I'm surprised though.

And what's your solution - not let people use AC in their houses as they see fit? Good luck with that. Even Californians balked on that idea.

My VS Code experience became even better when I learned to drop //@ts-check in every file. You don't have to do that if you setup a jsconfig.json file in the root of your project. https://code.visualstudio.com&#x

Any language with a large userbase has a large group of people who don't use them appropriately. Nope. That was what the Java people were saying a decade and a half ago about C# having operator overloading and it just didn't tu

No, the grandparent's political stance is to be outraged at anybody he/she disagrees with and has an unhealthy obsession to blurt it out on discussions that aren't political.

A issue with today's programmers is that they require instant gratification from their programming languages. Remember that it takes a large investment to learn a foreign language. The more you learn, the more you can express. Haskell

It is depressing how many "protection" bills exclude political committees and related PACs. That's because they're quasi-government entities or related, and above the fray.
