I started using Linux in the 1990s, and I flirted with Apple through out the 2010s. I finally switched full time to a Mac Studio this year despite the UI, despite the read-only root and kexts no longer being a thing and inconsistencies and

Jim Keller did say essentially that, and I think this is proven in two different facts. First, x86 hasn't directly executed x86 instructions in a very long time. Second, Rosetta 2. ISA doesn't matter. Logic matters. Cache matters.

SoundFonts will get detailed when I get to covering the chips themselves. As Creative didn’t design or make most of their chips, that’ll be covered in articles of other companies.

So, I cover the entire industry at ARF, and Adlib will come. The problem is finding the sources. Sorry you didn’t care for it. Also, as Creative didn’t make most of their chips, those too will eventually be covered.

If we define a country as distinct from a nation, we can certainly say that Rome ceased to be with taking of Constantinople by the Ottomans. For the Western Empire, this would be the overthrow of Romulus Augustulus by Odoacer. A nation woul

1. Apple’s optimizations are one point in their favor. XNU is good, and Apple’s memory management is excellent. 2. X86 micro-ops vs ARM decode are not equivalent. X86’s variable length instructions make the whole process far more complicate

First, Apple did an excellent job optimizing their software stack for their hardware. This is something that few companies have the ability to do as they target a wide array of hardware. This is even more impressive given the scale of Apple
