Why the obsession with 3 letter short names? Why "typ" and not "type". I'm sore the overhead can be ignored and the parser doesn't care.

"This will drive customers away, not into subscription." It probably will not, I'm pretty sure they have the statistics, however it will make some annoyed non-paying customers complain on the internet.

No, no one uses proxies nowadays, you should aim for a VPN service which does the same. That is, if you want to profit.

A very good article every PHP programmer should read, regardless if you like PHP or not. It's good to understand why things are they way the are in relation to more (historically) thoughtful languages.

Haha, I always feel guilty when this happens, I'm doing something and suddenly start getting errors, which just escalates on refresh and now everything is down :P

E2E encryption has a very long way to go. If PGP or S/MIME were the answer it would had successes (conquered the world) by now. I do appreciate the security advocates preaching PGP, but in all fairness it may be a lost cause. Some secu

Good initiative. Question is; what does the TLS icon indicate; is it just opportunistic TLS, or do they do any verification? What, if so? Some private consortium where only members can get a "green lock"? What's the next step

Yes, you're absolutely right about the existence of Seq. Numbers in IPsec. However, it might not always be enabled, that is if you're using manual keying (and not IKE). http://www.ietf.org/mail-archive/web

"IPsec" doesn't always protect you against replay attacks for encapsulated UDP packets (unlike TCP which protects itself).

DTLS is probably one of your best options. Protecting UDP is hard. It more or less requires you to implement "all" the features DTLS has (like sequence numbers). Depending on the application, one could argue that your protocol may
