They have to disclose when family members make the trades, as shown by the article you posted. So its not really clever when it still gets disclosed. And something like having a spouse do the trades certainly isn't either. That's

Its definitely interesting to consider something like that. Stats as to why might be cool, but odds are nothing is going to change my mind. I am actually more curious about how many users on my list end up getting banned for being bots even

I do like that idea. Less false positives on the real people, and more likely to find those bot armies.

10 seems like such a small number. Was he was getting specific feedback that caused him to shut it down? Like were there some sort of legal liability issues or something that made it something they weren't interested in?

Do you not expect people to self select into the same divisive social networks no matter the communication platform that they are using? How does offering yet another platform for them to do so undo any of the harm already caused?

I guess it depends on what OP means by Energy usage. I thought it was more about clean energy than about the energy usage of individual workloads. And there are certainly opportunities for software in clean energy. Things like improving sit

I should not be surprised that soybean oil is the most widely consumed oil, but I had not actually realized it. I had to look it up; It is in margarine, mayonnaise, and most vegetable oils. And I just had not payed that close of attention.

The same version of black, with the same settings, will always produce the same results from the same input code. Definitely re-producible. That question is about how stable the formatting is from version to version. Which is now more stabl

This is about how I initially felt with black. I didn't like some of the things it did, but I was happy to have a standardized opinionated formatter so I went with it. Was definitely the right decision.

Many ISPs do have peering agreements with Netflix[1] and the like. So they may be they are able to shape the traffic that way as well. All your Netflix traffic is going through that connection, so even if its not on Netflix side your ISP kn

I think some of it is optional, they pitch it as a data saver so you don't run out of data. Or tell you can get unlimited streaming data as long as its low resolution. And for QoS reasons, to keep bandwidth available for everyone. I th

The urls that are used for the streams are pretty well known, and can limit all traffic on those URLS to specific speeds. Here are a few for example: Twitch: *.ttvnw.net Netflix: *.nflxvideo.net Hulu: *.hulustream.com YouTube: *.googlevideo

What model do you have? The 3 definitely doesn't read speed limit signs. Or at least doesn't use the information if it does read them. It will drive right past a sign that says 25MPH and still say the limit is 35MPH. Or drive past

Shouldn't it be Selenographic Information Systems if you are dealing with the topography of the moon? :) Totally a geo nerd myself, and sounds like it might quite fun, but I can't seem to find any indication of compensation levels

I should clarify that the 8 hours was above and beyond the costs of running it yourself on AWS. So that is not counting the 2x ec2 instances, plus the minor s3 and elb costs. Didn't really run the numbers for equivalent hardware elsewh

There are two parts to this. You are correct that RDS doesn't help you with picking the index strategy, or optimizing queries. I don't see that as running the DB though, that is how you interact with it once its running. What it d

Ok, that could work. But I was thinking about something with more of a hierarchy. Home > Bedroom 1 > Bookshelf 2 > Shelf 3, kind of thing. And then move it to Home > Bedroom 2 > Nightstand 2, or whatever it is.
