My family is happily using only Linux since 10 years, I since 15 years ago. But there are a lot of "but", without my support (I'm a sysadmin) they could not, but half of the issues are not Linux only, so they needed support

Similar project to Spacemacs, doom-emacs seems more alive recently, some people say it is faster than Spacemacs. I like both, but I never switched to them from vim.

Me too, it is simple to judge after the facts. In the future we will be judged the same way, and many will not understand how we could not see the catastrophic end of our journey.

Yep, I can pay money for a piece of software so important for my workflow, but no telemetry, no login and other stupid stuff even in opt-in/opt-out fashion.

I really like the idea of using my huge steam and gog game libraries, but 0.45/h for the lowest configuration is way too expensive. I use stadia, bought some games, play a lot (hundreds of hours) and I like it, simply I'll not buy
