Apps are meant to be used. If an app is meant to be obscure, it's an experiment.

I think the problem with open access and such is that they're relatively unknown. When you have a standardised, credible, authoritative source, well, that's all journals have for them. Only this time it's government-guarantee

Probably harder than simply creating and standardising a .gov website that hosts research. It's difficult to demonstrate how journals are more than (or utilised better than) search engines.

I'm having a hard time believing it's underlying fear that motivates anger generally. If some videogame AI craps out or an open source program turns out to be deprecated, I get angry at the supposed laziness and ignorance of devs.

I've yet to read a really good large-sample study on this. I believe you're right, I just want to know the percentage of people. So far piracy is being treated as a scapegoat for unreached sales.

It's a common misconception that piracy is a loss of business. It's nothing more than an overestimation in profits. How can companies say they lose profit when the only realistic way I see for that is someone getting a refund and

Our bodies did not evolve around microplastics, so we're allowed to be biased against microplastics. So, waiting for some studies that microplastics are harmless (p-values < 1e10-5 only, please).

No, it sounds like a good way to verify the officer knows what he's doing and isn't putting anyone in danger. After all, who can trust a random stranger with a gun who needs to pass very lax qualifications? I'm really happy a

Right, and I need the whole scene and the officer's personal information filmed in either course of action. It allows for better camera angles and I don't have to beg the PD for dashcams or bodycams. >If there’s not a problem o

This is in case you're recording an officer and you want zero ambiguity when writing a complaint form. It's not just about getting lawyers, often cops act differently when being recorded from different angles or livestreamed for o
