This is not quite necessarily true - I work at a tech giant and we've opted for using scss still & are quite happy with our choice.

This can be headed off by not rewarding bad behavior in peer reviews/manager reviews. In addition, such behavior could be used to lay off the offending person. Not that I'm a fan of completely flat organizations. It should be note

As with many things, the answer is it depends on what you do. I inherited an app that serves about 1m requests a day, and server-side rendering of the HTML is one of the reasons why we're going to decommission this app, as the performa

I've seen the flip side of the coin in an app I inherited at work - it turns out server-side rendering can be significantly slower than client side rendering if you're rendering a lot of content, to the point where we hit an autom

Had a similar experience with Google Apps - Google's customer support process is inept by design, which is the primary reason Google doesn't get my money anymore.

I work on one with React that is too slow in the browser with a team that only has senior devs, and users even filed bugs about the performance - we do heavy computations, and React's model of blocking rendering on having everything up

Google’s automation with calendar auto-adding events from email and not correcting is so bad that I switched to macOS/iOS Calendar and started weening myself off of Google’s services. They’ve had issues for years, and don’t seem intere

I think you're not grasping the difference of how Apple is structured compared to most companies, and why I made the comment I did, which is completely verifiable. Apple slices up departments by function, not by product, which is why t

Even in the Bay Area there are companies still with Python 2.7 with no real migration strategy yet. I maintain several such packages at work myself.

Non-charitably, Google probably has an interest in not prioritizing iOS. Realistically, I'd imagine that Google prioritizes less there because a lot of preference for iOS dev is to just go full native. I do wonder how much Flutter is u

I'd say if you're crossing over 50 lines, it's going to suck no matter what format you're in. Other solutions are not really going to fare any better than JSON at that level.
