The reason is because Angular 2 merges Angular Dart and AngularJS into one framework. Can't say I have first hand knowledge, but I have heard that Angular dominates internally at Google. UI Bootstrap is also separate from Angular (if t

With a major framework in alpha like Angular 2, your best bet is to try diving into creating a major project, and to figure out how to build components. Reading the source code is important at this stage, but there is also https:/

Such kind of comment is also in very poor taste - it offers very little substance, and mainly aims at going in a roundabout way to belittle the comment it is responding to without offering a concrete solid argument against it. And that is e

I typically work about 37 hours a week at a small company in Palo Alto - my work productivity is very high, since it's less of a pressure cooker for coding. However, I do typically spend about 4 hours outside of work a day on open sour

I think you're completely missing the point...the original title on HN did not have any of that information - it just said "Intel x86 considered harmful (new paper)". No context that it was a survey paper - initial impression

It's a new paper that summarizes - the previous title was "Intel x86 considered harmful (new paper)". It is very easy to draw an inference that a new revelation to consider the Intel x86 is harmful has come from that title -

That wasn't what I was criticizing - I was criticizing the title on HN. It previously said (new paper). While that is true, in this context, it is actually a summary of existing information. I was not criticizing the quality of informa

Should also be noted that the link mentions that the paper contains no new attacks - the title is misleading in this context with the new paper qualifier.

I can second this, having worked with and talked with many of the team - they are great people, and enforce respect for each other within the community as the minimum bar for being involved in the ecosystem. I have not had an issue with any

One can easily work a few years in the Valley and buy a nice house in much of the country...and likely get an opportunity to work remotely if he/she has worked at the company a few years. The raw numbers are nothing to sniff at, and yo

It should be noted that this is a fairly common pattern in graduate mathematics departments at public schools - IMO, it is to give students a chance when given outstanding resources. I experienced something similar while at UIUC for math, b

A bit offtopic, but DI (via IoC container) is for managing runtime dependencies, which can get complex as an app grows. DI of the IoC container flavor is never necessary (I would argue that pure DI in itself is only a good thing though for

I'm guessing here, but I'd fathom that "stabler" means that it has less severe bugs than most libraries, but is true given the number of eyes on it and its popular following.

Personally, I would escalate, and be ready to leave - this situation is clearly grating on you, and there may be no positive resolution, so it may not be worth fighting here. On the other end of options, you could grit your teeth and tolera
