It's so fun! And for me at least, it sparks a lot of curiosity to learn the theory behind them, so I would imagine it is similar for others. And some of that theory will likely cross over to the next AI breakthrough. So I think this is

That's the one! High enough quality that I would guess it would highly convert from torrents to purchases. Hypothetically, of course.

I really like Sebastian's content but I do agree with you. I didn't get into deep learning until starting with Karpathy's series, which starts by creating an autograd engine from scratch. Before that I tried learning with fas

My wife says the same for her. I think we all just have stressful jobs and are cramming tons of information into our brains. Something's gotta give!

Andrej's series is excellent, Sebastian's book + this video are excellent. There's a lot of overlap but they go into more detail on different topics or focus on different things. Andrej's entire series is absolutely wort

Wait, no, false alarm. I remember this happened before COVID. The first thing I remember having trouble remembering was the name of the game "Signalis". That was like a year ago. I'm mid thirties. So it's not COVID, I&#x

The problem is that most of the interesting content I'm interested is posted in the not-so-fun parts of the web, so I feel forced to participate.

Fuck, I recently had Covid and I've been having trouble recalling things. Every other day or so I'll spend 5-10 seconds remembering the name of something. It's possible this happened before I got Covid, though... I don't

So if you had 3 markdown cells and 3 python cells, I would design the tool to pull all the content out of those cells and present it (sans all that ipynb markup, just contents, probably in markdown) to the model as the full context for ever

Yeah the golden goose for me personally is the ability to say "create a jupyter notebook about x topic" and have an LLM spit out interspersed markdown (w/ inline latex) and python cells. It would be really cool if the LLM was

I'm not sure what you mean by "pragmatic obstacle" but it ensures Guix will be super duper niche forever, which I don't think the developers mind. For regular users it "doesn't matter" in the sense that it

So is the plan for these to quietly update the hardware as better consumer hardware becomes available? This is a really interesting idea but as a small fry I would definitely be building myself if I went this route.

Does anyone have a way to use generative AI to generate Jupyter notebooks? I've tried with prompts but it chokes on the markup, and also I'm wondering if the markup wastes too much context for that to be a good idea anyways. Right

I like Cursor's interface a lot, it's very focused and well thought out. I get noticeably better results with autocomplete and chat compared to alternatieves. I really like that I can copy the full chat responses as markdown with
