Yes, we all did. The commit containing the backdoor was reverted with a new commit. See c730aa26bd and 2b0f239b on `php/php-src` repo on GitHub.

After adding features like Git repos and file storage, keybase started their own currency called Stallar (XLM). They airdropped XLM to Keybase users. About 2 billion IIRC. It resulted in bit accounts for obvious reasons, so they had to make

But they are different to email. I actually enable seen notifications for people because it's very frustrating for real-time communication. Email is not meant to be that.

I think perhaps US being an exception, receiving SMSs is free even when you are roaming. Many android phones have dual physical SIM cards, so when I travel, I still keep my bank-registered number on roaming. But I totally agree with your po

Not defending gmail, but for them offering a gmail.com address is working out for many. Outside HN and tech, I doubt people care if their email suffix is `@gmail.com`. Google Apps (or whatever they call it these days) is very affordable and

I think the "problem" shown in this article is when Gmail shows the "via" text when the From domain is different to the signature header. It's very common to have From addresses different to Reply To; a contact form

I think it's because the author thinks "via" text is a negative thing? They run an email forwarding service, so their SPF records will fail, but an untampered email should still pass DKIM. in fact, that's how most email

Gmail is not wrong. The "via" text is only shown if the email is DKIM-signed by a different domain name than that envelop From domain. If the email is signed by the same domain as the From domain, there will be no "via"

As far as I understand, this only affects sub requests (iframes, Ajax requests, scripts, CSS, etc), and not the main request. In a redirect, the third party site is used as a friest party request, and should not be limited by this. See same

I upgraded my five year used laptop just last month, and this would have been an ideal one. However, lack of an AMD CPU is a kind of deal breaker for me, even if it means I wouldn't get USB 4.

I'm a bit hazy on details. Their commission is per-client. If the total payment between the client and freelancer is less than $500, the commission is 20%. It gets lower to 15% and 10% when you earn more. But it never teaches zero, and

I totally agree with this. The exploitation of the human resource is true and brutal! I grew up in Sri Lanka, and there is a relatively small yet similar situation. Workers are paid $100-200, and have the jobs hanging in a thread leaving no

Good that OSM is accurate in cities as well, because in hiking, skiing, or even some ferry routes, OSM simply wins because that's often the only mapping provider to even have _any_ data. Some of my first hand experiences: - French GR-2
