Why not redesign highways so it is easy for self driving vehicles to follow? You could even have it set up that vehicles are only allowed to self drive when conditions are right. Maybe signage on the road itself enables or disable self driv

Apple, as far as I know, does not own spectrum. Therefore I doubt it is an Apple thing. More likely an AT&T or Verizon thing. And the service works on the iPhone.

The problem with subscriptions is the difficulty in canceling. To join XM Radio or the Wall Street Journal is quick and easy. To cancel requires an hour long phone call navigating through high pressure sales.

It is a replay attack. They must record the vehicle doors being opened or started. They can’t randomly jus start any Honda.

The technique described is a replay vulnerability. The attacker must record you unlocking your vehicle. What you describe sounds different, but even more scary.
