Looks like in the case of minor body damage you will have to cut and flush weld patches in the body instead of bolting on a new panel like they currently do. Aftermarket modular body panels are extremely cheap, and repairs consist of sprayi

I am more worried about the google AI models that will never be shown publicly. I am sure that they have some truly dystopian shit involved in tracking and targeted advertising.

I love all of these no starch press books and have collected a pretty good pile of them next to my desk.

As a lifetime introvert that doesn't really care for human interaction I have never really thought about this perspective before. I have worked remote for years and commuting all the way to another building just to do the same thing I

I am currently posting from my T420 and giving up this keyboard when the time finally comes will be a very sad day. I would gladly take a little more girth on a newer laptop if it meant I could have a real keyboard instead of typing on zero

I work in 3d modeling for a living and I have tried freecad so many times I have lost count. I am glad they work to provide a product for the people that find it useful, but I personally find it completely unintuitive. It just takes too man

I don't care what it does to the economy. The only people against remote work are middle managers fearing for their future and building owners afraid of losing out on rent money. I have been working remotely for 5 years and I will reti

I can scrape linkedin with a python script. That doesn't mean linkedin can shut down python. I would think removing all the references to their company in particular would be enough for them to call off the dogs. For clarity, I am not

VR is CEO bait. They can't let go of the idea of strapping advertising and tracking devices directly to peoples heads. It's just too tantalizing. Almost nobody has any interest in VR, but absolutely nobody has interest in facebook

I have had a similar type of problem with customer service not taking it very seriously. After a month of getting the run-around I called one last time, gave them the case number, and cut them off mid sentence to say, "No, I just need

I fled because I was paying yearly for two day shipping that was closer to 7. Now in the situations where absolutely nobody else has something and I have to order from amazon my packages show up faster than they did with prime.

The first few years I was asked daily, "Jesus, are you ok?" when walking into work. Mine is 9 now and still wakes up to knock things over and turn every light in the house on at 5 am.

I also went through the "no price" dance when I went shopping for a new program for my company. Every website for the dozen or so companies that made software for it had no pricing, a webform to fill out so a salesman can get back

Looks like I am going to stop feeding then. Donating electricity and bandwidth to an open source project and donating to a massive corporation just aren't the same thing. Pay me and I will turn it back on, but until then I guess it is

They aren't reading them anyway. 4000 word assignments are just a sadistic game they still play for some reason. You jump through the hoop and write the paper, then they run it through an automated spelling and grammar checker and make

The part where you actually sit down and type in code isn't the part that is fun for me anyway. I like solving problems and the problem needs to be solved before you know what code to write, so the fun part is over before I even open a

There are very few websites I allow to run javascript. I'm against the entire idea of running remote code for the privelage of having paywalls, cookie pop-ups, newsletter invites, scrolljacking, and spyware. Javascript was a mistake.

3,000+ default packages? I'm a *nix minimalist, so this makes me uneasy. It really is insane. I'm digging in my closet for a 32 bit machine so I can put it on bare metal immediately.
